Ahn Hyo Seop returning for "Dr. Romantic 3 ".

 Ahn Hyo Seop was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1995, but he moved to Canada at a young age with his family. He later returned to South Korea to pursue his dream of becoming an actor, attending the National University of Arts in Seoul and studying theater.

He made his acting debut in 2015 with a minor role in the drama "Splash Splash Love" but it was his breakout role as the male lead in the 2017 drama "My Father is Strange" that gained him widespread recognition and earned him his first acting award, the Best New Actor award at the KBS Drama Awards.

Since then, Ahn Hyo Seop has appeared in several popular dramas, including "Still 17," "Abyss," and "Dr. Romantic 2," each time showcasing his impressive acting skills and versatility as an actor. He has also been recognized for his talent, winning several awards including the Best New Actor award at the Baeksang Arts Awards in 2019.

Apart from acting, Ahn Hyo Seop is also known for his singing abilities. He has released several OSTs for the dramas he has starred in, showcasing his beautiful and soulful voice.

“Dr. Romantic” follows the story of a genius surgeon who goes by the name of "Teacher Kim" and his team of doctors at Doldam Hospital, as they tackle difficult medical cases and navigate their personal and professional relationships. The first season of the drama aired in 2016 and quickly gained a loyal following. The second season, which starred actors Lee Sung Kyung and Ahn Hyo Seop, premiered in 2020 and was also well-received .

During a recent interview, Ahn Hyo Seop revealed that he had been approached for the third season of “Dr. Romantic” and was considering the offer. The actor stated that he had enjoyed playing the role of Seo Woo Jin in the previous season and would love to return to the show if he could work out the scheduling conflicts with his other projects.

“Dr. Romantic” is a popular drama that follows the stories of realistic doctors working at a rundown hospital in the countryside. Han Suk Kyu, Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Min Jae, So Ju Yeon, Jin Kyung, Im Won Hee, Byun Woo Min, and Jung Ji Ahn will all be reprising their roles in the upcoming third season.

Describing his very first shoot for “Dr. Romantic 3,” the actor recalled, “I think I was busy greeting all the faces I was happy to see again. Because it was Doldam Hospital, I think I was able to quickly get back into the mindset of Woo Jin’s life, which my body and mind remembered.

Dr. Romantic 3” will premiere on April 28 at 10 p.m. KST.
